History of The Last of the Great Road Warriors/White Lightning
The vehicle depicted is one of the highest valued Pontiac motor vehicles produced to date. It was originally
intended to transport contraband bonded alcoholic beverages into the last dry state of the union (MS), avoiding
state or federal tax. It was ordered to outrun anything on the open or public highways with a full load of some
750 lbs., which earned it the title The Last of the Great Road Warriors. The vehicle is part of the American
motor vehicle heritage and, as such, in its depiction, is a valuable addition to any discriminating collector.
The Last of the Great Road Warriors is depicted on a variety of products we offer, including our collectible
Zippo lighter and 15 ounce glassware with FDA approved, gold trimmed lip-rings. Our Zippo lighter is the only
one in which a full size regular production motor vehicle has ever been depicted. Also, it is the only Zippo to
have a production engraving on the back relating to the art work on the face, containing 10 lines of text.
There are only700 lighters made available every two years.
